Newtonian Flight

I understand that really flying a space ship is like driving a truck across a sheet of ice, but now that I know it once existed, I really want to try it.

Is there an OXP that changes the flight behavior of the ship so that it operates on Newtonian physics? If not, is it because it would be ridiculously hard to implement or because nobody wants to play it?

"because nobody wants to play it"

And it would be impossible to OXP-code (although KW has the main reason).

If you so desire it try Frontier.

if that idiot Newton hadn't invented gravity we wouldn't have good game sequels ruined by silly flight dynamics!

...and on top of that we would all be floating in the air. Now imagine that!

Sorry, this reminded me of something. Here it is, enjoy (the physicists among you probably know it already):
Unified Field Theory
by TIM JOSEPH

In the beginning there was Aristotle,
And objects at rest tended to remain at rest,
And objects in motion tended to come to rest,
And soon everything was at rest,
And God saw that it was boring.

Then God created Newton,
And objects at rest tended to remain at rest,
But objects in motion tended to remain in motion,
And energy was conserved and momentum was conserved and matter was conserved,
And God saw that it was conservative.

Then God created Einstein,
And everything was relative,
And fast things became short,
And straight things became curved,
And the universe was filled with inertial frames,
And God saw that it was relatively general, but some of it was especially relative.

Then God created Bohr,
And there was the principle,
And the principle was quantum,
And all things were quantified,
But some things were still relative,
And God saw that it was confusing.

Then God was going to create Furgeson,
And Furgeson would have unified,
And he would have fielded a theory,
And all would have been one,
But it was the seventh day,
And God rested,
And objects at rest tend to remain at rest.

i believe someone would have invented velcro shoes to compensate.

And what would the air itself wear to stop it also wandering off into the galactic void?

We could always encase the planet in a giant balloon..

There wouldn't be a planet in the first place.

OK. Now this thread is getting very silly, so I want you all to stop right away...

if there wasn't a planet then there wouldn't have been gravity.

Newtonian Flight? Wouldn't Newtonian Plummet be more accurate?
