Hi

To send my kill-rate through the roof (quickly), in between trading between rich ind. and poor agro. planets, I have been jetting into witchspace.

I have found that quite often, if I am attcked by only two Thargoids, once I have shot them enough times to release their Thargons, the Thargon ships are dead in space!

They appear on the hud as white inanimate objects. And Hey-Ho, shoot for fun with no resistance!

But I was wondering, does anyone know why this happens?

Thargons are automated drones that are controlled from thargoid ships. When there is none around, they aren't capable of autonomous operation, so they're dead. That is absolutely normal.

You can either shoot them, or scoop them as Alien Items. I tend to do a mixture of both, depending on their bounty (I use the bounty scanner). If they are only worth 50 credits then I scoop them, more and I shoot them.

If you have Galactic Navy OXP, the navy pay over 80 Cr each for Thargons. After a battle, you can often scoop up 100+ (assuming you've got a big enough ship) for a nice profit!

:? Shouldn't that be the other way round?

50 credits is the bounty for killing them, not their sale price.
