Yeah it means you have hit a score waypoint. To start with you will get one each time you level up, then later every 256 kills.

Aaaaahhhh... ... this post has made me smile and go all nostalgic...

...brings back the memory of the very first time I saw that message, on my trusty Speccy, a very, very long time ago... ...at about 2 in the morning! I nearly woke the household with my whoop of triumph! The dog started barking, etc, you know the scene... :oops:

we actually went out side - it was freezing fog central that night - and set off a box of skyrockets (about a dozen, simultaneously) up they whooshed and disappeared within the second

the house next door bred small terrier-type dogs in an outdoor kennel facility - you never heard such a commotion it was about 4 a.m.
