Newbee - love this game.

Been playing this for weeks now. Currently in galaxy 2 with 500'odd kills, having just completed the constrictor mission (killed him with an energy bomb). When/what triggers Thargoids to appear?

You may occasionally find Thargoids in normal space around a planet. But normally they are found in Witchspace. You can find them by performing maximum dive or climb when hyperspacing.

Alternatively you can encounter them during Galactic Navy OXP missions.

Pressed 'h' to hyperspace, waited untill the clock was at '1', then dived and bingo! Witchspace malfunction - Thargoid Heaven! And cargo!
