Space Hotels

I like to see some Space Hotels in orbit around Hub planets. Maybe offering in system transfer missions to the station and maybe some transfers to and from passenger liners or neighboring planets.

Any other ideas?

Sightseeing tours for the tourists. The more systems you fly through with your passengers on board the more you get.

Yes, but why just cater to the feline consumer? Sure, there's a big market in scratching posts and rubber mousies, but lobsters and insects have their needs too. Plus they don't shed on the rug. :D

You've got to think that any space hotel would be catering to the exclusive end of the market. People travelling tourist class would grab a coffin berth in the station, or just doss down in the transit hall. So we're talking about rich, powerful people. There could be an occasional market for security, or on the flip side, a bit of light assassination ...

hmmmm, possibly.
i'd assume there'd be different levels of hotels, the same as we have star-ratings nowadays. the story behind my Nuit station was that it would accomodate all ranges, from the luxury apartments up top to the basic grade accom for pilots on a budget. there are, i'd think, a lot more poor to slightly comfortable grade pilots out there than the super-rich grade, so it would make sense to cater for a large clientele.

I was thinking that any hotel which is a totally separate station would presumably be expensive ... but I suppose it would depend on the amount of possible accommodation in the main station. It could be exclusive, or it could be like an airport hotel!

Yest that was the reason for this suggestion. The main stations are not that big to house large group of tourists around hub planets. So yeah a separate accommodation would be cool..

1. cat house

Slang for whore house or brothel.

It's also an outdoor shelter for a feline.
