Big Traders

Been thinking about the bigTrader AI for the
Big Ships OXP.
As I understand it, this bigTrader role AI stops the big ships from docking at normal stations.
However, does it allow the big ships to dock at the special docks at the
GRS Buoy Repair Factories, etc?
If not, can this be done?

Docking at those is really non-trivial. For a start, they are actually no docks.
The GRS.oxp itself creates a couple of ships in each system with a buoy factory which through very clever scripting pretend to "dock" at these places, so you always have the chance to see a ship "dock" there.
But don't expect more than that.

No, the bigships AI doesn't dock with anything. It approaches the main station, waits for a bit and then departs again.
It is possible to do other things (for example look at the HammerHead in Aquatics), but they tend to need to be tailored individually for the ship (and station) in question.
As McLane says, it can be done, but it's non-trivial. The bigships AI is designed as a vanilla option for any ship too large for the station letterbox, and so by default has to take the safest option in terms of actions.

Yeah I figured that one out this morning, was trying to work out what the "easter eggs" are at the GRS factories, and crashed at one of those docks!
