Oolite randomness can create some really memorable moments

Ive seen some large formations flying about but not sure ive seen that many at one time. That really would have suited my 'drop an energy bomb and scoop the cargo' tactic down to the ground

About once a year, at the annual Anaconda Fanciers convention held at Quitri.

wow, my gup (onboard 4200 with amd X2 4200cpu can just about run this game with nice settings. i suspect it would collapse with that lot going on.
did your frame rate suffer much?
i would love to get in the middle of all that lot, esp as not the centre of attenton so just pick a few "baddies" off.

Dabny Kwijibo, CEO of Beerbaum and ThruSpace Inc., is going to be the keynote speaker this year.
In addition to announcements from both shipbuilders and fan organizations, there will of course be the traditional Conda Space Slalom.

I will be there, too, for my traditional fill-my-IC's-belly-with-ex-Conda-cargo feast.

My thoughts exactly! Just as I think that I have become used to what Oolite throws at me... somethng like this happens.

If it dropped, it wasn't enough for me to consciously notice (and nowhere near the drop I experience when I'm close to a system_redux planetary texture), and I'm running this on a
netbook. 630MHz CPU, 2GB RAM, Intel 915GM GPU (feel my pain), non-shaderfied game. This really made me appreciate the simplicity of the core meshes - this many ships (in the screenshots above) were fine, but when I drop in a few of Simon B.'s ships, that's when I get framerate drops
I agree with the CondaCon comments though - it was as if one enterprising 'Conda commander said: "Fellas, form up! We're just gonna bulldoze our way through the next couple o' systems!"
Oh, and remember to pick up your '
I was at CondaCon '10 and all I got was this lousy screenshot' sticker on your way out guys.

here's my contribution to lush groupings :
i've seen groups of cops before but this is the first time i've seen a gorgeous "vulcan bomber" formation, and they were mostly my Dominatrixes too! Dunno what that Reaper was doing w/ them tho.

Nice. I've also seen 6-8 Vipers at a time flying in a rough V wedge shape. I thought there might be a script for them going on a training mission or something, or maybe a Thargoid scouting party was coming, so I watched them for a while. They sailed past the witchpoint beacon, and just went on... and on...

I would love to meet such giant gathering.
I have met a strange fleet of Cobras - all without status.
They ignored me (clean).
Within the same system there were one or two other ships without status, all others showed status just fine. No idea why.
