How to spawn a scoopable object?

I am working on an OXP and ran into a snag that makes the object explode instead of being scooped. Can someone tell me how to spawn an object in a way that makes it scoopable?

It looks like the ScanClass has to be CLASS_CARGO or it won't be picked up, slightly visually annoying in my case but not a serious problem.
