Description:
Adds Sungs textures to ships, and ads shaders to these textures.

The readme "Readme for Sungs Textures.txt" is for legal reasons only.
It contains all the licensing info regarding Sungs original textures.
DO NOT follow the installation instructions within it.

Instalation:
To install simply extract the zip or rar into your Addons directory.

Future plans:
*Recolours of theses ships.
*Making the pirate ships available for purchase to the player optional.
*Changing the pricing to default standards.
(With Realistic Shipyards pricing as an option)
*Possibly instructions on how to remove the default vanilla ships.
(Although I am against this, some players are looking for a replacement instead of variety)

Credits:
*All credit goes to Sung, he designed the original textures.
*Simon B for his shader files.
*ADCK (me) for making the normal maps, effects maps and the configuration of the ships.

Licensing:
This OXP is a modders resource, However please read "Readme for Sungs Textures.txt" in regards to licensing.
I am not able to give permission for you use any files within this oxp in your own oxp's.

Older Version:
Version 1.1

Just a heads up: quite a lot of people don't have winrar or similar on their computers, so the friendlier option is to use .zip files!

That out of the way, thanks for sharing! :)

So I already downloaded and installed your OXP. A really amazing looking addition to the Ooniverse.

Thank you for sharing your work!

You can download a 30-day trial version of winrar from ...:

http://download.cnet.com/WinRAR-32-bit/ ... 07677.html

All you do is suffer from a nag screen every time you use it but so far I've been "trialing" it for a bit longer than 30 days...

As for a friendlier option being .zip - that's like saying getting blasted by Thargoids is better than getting blasted by Ethically Challenged Merchants(*). And besides, who wrote WinZIP? Give y'all a clue - the second most-hated software company on the (this) planet!

DISCLAIMER: Actually, this is the latest release. I've been using a previous incarnation but I'd be very surprised if they have rigidly enforced the 30-day limit such you can't get round it...

(*)E.C.M.'s do so hate being called pirates - that just has so many negative connotations...

Everyone can download free software that can unpack rar under windumb - and it's also better than windumbs builtin zip:

Does it work for macs tho? I think thats what Kaks was originally implying.

Added a Zip download anyway, which contains a tiny bugfix which no one well ever notice (one of the Worm Landing Craft had wrong texture)

For a mac, just install The Unarchiver (yes, it's free). Works just fine for every archive type I ever encountered. Including .rar.

zip is probably the most widely supported archive format. While it is true that anyone can get a tool to open rar files, there is no real reason we should expect them to do so. windows as an example natively supports zip and most unix variants will have gunzip or similar available.

Personally I dont like having to install tools, I think things should just work as easily as possible, so Id prefer if all files used tar gz or zip. That said, feel free to use whatever you think is best.

As a side point, this forum generally does not approve of "trial" software being used outside the trial period. I dont want to have that argument again, but I thought Id mention that its considered bad form around here.

That's because it isn't out yet.
