Problem is I can't find out anything about it - this isn't for Oolite - just my writing - but I can't find what size HD it's got (or even if it's Solid state which I suspect it is) or the company that makes it.

Thoughts?

I've even held an empty box in my hand - but that box had exactly no info on it at all and Google has let me down...

Hmm, I think the clue is windows CE: that usually means it's a pda with a keyboard & a bigger screen than usual. It's most likely got a StrongARM processor and 4 gigabites of storage. But you can use an SD card (the ones used for cameras) to increase the storage available.

You can get a cheaper one from maplins:

They have one model for sale for £79, and SoftMaker sells a fully featured word processor (m$ Word compatible) for windows CE, so it just about would work for what you need. Or you might be able to install linux & abiword on it...

Thanks for the info Kaks - looking at the Maplin's one - you're right about the Windows CE being the clue and it doesn't get good reviews does it! (and I can't therefore imagine that the Poundstretcher version will be any better).

Oh well - having discovered that I need four new taps in the bathroom - I don't have any "spare" cash anyway... :(
