Based on :

I got trumbles, They're multiplyin'
And I 'm losing cargo...
And the ship that I'm a flying
It's electrifying!

Well I better shape up
'Cause I need a ship
That can keep me in the sky

Yes you better shape up
'Cause you need a ship
That can keep you up on high

(that's all for now)

Tonight the
Super Cobra beams are gonna find me
Shining like the sun
(Sup-p-per Cob-b-ra)
Missile, locking on
(Sup-p-per Cob-b-ra)
Feeling like the pirate one
Tonight the
Super Cobra beams are gonna blind me
Hyperspace mis-jump blues
(Sup-p-per Cob-b-ra)
Like we always do
(Sup-p-per Cob-b-ra)
'Cause somewhere in the ooniverse there's you....

The famous edible poet duo, Silbert and Gullivan wrote a wonderful homage,
The Space Pirates of Zaonce. or a Slave to Bounty.

Fredric, an apprentice to a band of Space Pirates, finds himself released from his indenture upon his 21st birthday and given his own Cobra. After finding that Ruth , the only female aboard, had lied to him and all females were not lobsteroids (In Oh! false one, you have deceiv'd me), The young idealistic black feline declares that he must defeat his former crewmates for the sake of BOUNTY!

Docking on a system, he comes across 7 Daughters and their Navy Father.
The play comes to a head when the pirates are caught by the Galcops,
Seconds before destruction, they reveal that they are all wayward Corporate Directors from Zaonce, the Navy Father is impressed and allows them to marry his daughters and everyone sings and lives happily even after.

The play starts with the song
Pour Oh Pour the Riedquat Sherry!

And includes unforgettable songs such as

I am the Very Model of a Modern Elite Galcopper

And "When a fugi's not engaged in his employment"
A Galcop's lot is not a happy one....

Very cool 8)

And also:

"We sail the sky so black, and our saucy ships a beauty, though our witchdrives out of whack, we're attendant to our duty!"

and

"I've got a little list, of fugitives and offenders who might well be in the pound, and our laser never missed, our laser never missed!"

and

"A wand'ring trader I, a thing of slaves and narcotics..."

and

"So give three cheers and one cheer more for the inebriated captain of the Dubious Profit!"

Cheers,

Drew.
