hi all,
right, got a major prob here. :-(

i modelled my last ship, the Vampire, in Milkshape. the DAT says she's 102x25x131.
i modelled my new ship, the Dominatrix, in Hexagon initially, but found milkshape easier to do certain stuff. in doing so, i happened to load both ships up together and noticed that the Dominatrix was tiny, so i resized her over the Vampire so they were about the same size. fine so far.

in testing, i've been shift-D'ing so i've never noticed a prob. and the prob is, if i try to dock manually, i blow up. i've since checked the Dom's DAT, and it says she's 236x60x219. now, how the Hell is that, when she's virtually the exact same size as the other ship and i used the same Python stuff as last time?

is there any easy way to correct this? if i resize her i'm assuming i'm going to have to redo all the fkn textures/shader maps for them.

seriously PO'd at this like, i've seen them blitting about in flight and they don't appear double the size of the Vampires at all.

TIA....

quick edit : actually managed to dock there! bloody typical, dunno if it was fluke or whatever, but my original query remains : why the size discrepancy (is it only in the DAT??) and could it have probs further into the game? i'm totally confused about this since according to the stuff on Griff's Anaconda thread a dock is 192 and my ship os 236 so i don't think is should have been able to dock?

cheers!
