Asterix is wonderful. My first Asterix book was in German. That one is lost, but I have practically all the classic ones in English. And I have had boar sausage, though never boar itself. Still working on the recipe for magic potion. It has misletoe and lobster, but the lobster is only for taste.

Ask Getafix about the potion next time he's around, he might have valuable advice to give you ;-)

Uderzo is a genius when we are talking drawing. But alas, his story-telling is a lot less. Goscinny really knew how to tell a story. I stopped buying the Asterix albums after Goscinny died.

Legendary books, I still have a few from when I was a lad.
