Oolite Bulletins

Hi!

I'm quite new to Oolite (but I feel quite at home, having been around the eigt galaxies in "ye olde game" until I managed to advance from "Deadly" to "Elite").

I stumbled over this "Rough guide" and thought it would be a nice thing to expand this.

So I have a bunch of questions about this:

Is this generally OK with you if I "grab" a solar system/planet and write up something about it?

Are there guidelines about planetary maps, e.g. best size for a planets "skin" file?

Is it at all possible to supply a skin file for a planet to have it included in the game?

Is there a kind of register listing which planet was already handled/used/described in a story, mission, or other expansion pack?

Hi Treczoks, welcome to the forum! Please, by all means, grab a system or six and go for it. There are no guidelines whatsoever for the Guide. For skinning planets (and getting said skins into an OXP) you should see e.g. System Redux or similar threads/projects.

I don't think there's a register of what's been used where and by whom, but we have a very loose and flexible canon here!
