Doesn't it exist already? You could do a small search here on the boards. I remember at least the idea being thrown around here.

Ship would be a pain in the ass to model and fly.

The Firefly class ship has no weaponry.

There is a firefly ship but its not the one from the TV series/movie - somebody was working on an actually Firefly/Serenity ship (I remember discussing its TC capacity) but the author of the oxp disappeared before he released it...

Well, wings3d is a pretty friendly modelling package, and quite a few people managed to use it to create ships for the Oolite universe...

If you want to have a go, there's a tutorial somewhere, & I'm sure people here can help with a few of the questions you might have.

There are 2 Firefly ships my own Firefly S.T part of the Dragonfly S.T oxp (faster variant of Dragonfly with less cargo and red in colour)available from my signature, and another located here http://wiki.alioth.net/index.php/Firefly.
My design is not based on TV series/ Movie the other the author says its based on the Swift design.

It's a pain in the ass to model, certainly. I've modelled the bridge and neck and main hold area so far, and that was bad enough.

Dunno what it would be like to fly...
