... - that means a screen diagonal of 1.3 metres - and yay! -> Oolite at 1920 * 1080 pixels!

Space all around me! It's like the Captain's seat suddenly - I'm in the game! The immersion is great.

When docking at stations, there is the real feeling of flying into something now!

My laptop still takes this without getting noticably slower! An already great game just got even greater :D

Just had to share that 8)

(I'm waiting for nobody to be in the office so I can connect the XPS1730 to the lab's 65" Plasma (also 1920x1080)

I'm sitting at my desk, looking at my 19" Iiyama, trying to envisage that. 52".....and to think I first saw Elite on a 10" green line box. Wow!

Gotta go with the 24" 1920 x 1200 .. Not as big as your 65", DH, but close up it's better...

I've got screen envy now 8)

17" CRT and 10" notebook, so my two screens don't even come to half of yours!

It's actually really cool that this game actually gains from being viewed on a screen of more than a squaremeter surface :D

No complaints here ...

15 inch laptop LCD screen.

Epic fail. :-(

And to think I was impressed that I finally managed to get shaders working! Ah well...baby steps...

<eyes up 36 inch widescreen tv and RGB port on laptop>

I do promise to make some photos, preferably with Oolite running! :D

It was an occasion, still costed a bit more than 1200 euros, but my girlfriend & myself decided to go for it as we have no occasion for a real get-away holiday this year, to afford it.

Shaders also weren't easy on my laptop. I had inexplicable crashes with full shaders on, realised that it had to be my graphics card. Latest drivers from NVIDIA solved the problem for me, luckily 8)

Cheers

Now I wonder how it would be to have four of those surround you and project each of the four views simultaneously...

I like that idea! We would also need extras so that we can see the plasma tourets fire, and if we can control them... but we need to fly, so we would need "Friends..."

A cool idea, with two showstoppers (?):

1) It would cost me another 3600 euros for the other three screens

2) Would it be even possible to build the option into Oolite to show all four screens? In principle, it should, shouldn't it?

And when at it, the search for the ultimate joystick and a little cockpit for the four screens would be the next step then ...
