sub entities.

2 questions;

1) If your flying a ship with sub entities, can they be shot off? Or is the damage transferred to your shields then energy banks?

2) If you have 2 sub entities on one ship that due to their rotation collide, will they take damage or pass through each other.

I have an idea for magnetic ablative shielding.

Your question "What's new in the ooniverse" - there's a whole bunch of fun has gone on with frangibililty and subentities in Trunk, which I came in on about halfway through...

Well, back in the day, when I was a pilot, we didn't have no frangible player ships, player turrets, player multi-lasers.. It was just you and your tricked out ship. Now we have us a sissified excuse for a community, riding around in shaded Griff Boas and looking at enormous planet textures.

You jacked my thread you slinky little blighter!

As a side note, if you require a fix of commodore then I'm sure there are several emulators out there to fullfill all your blocky, low res, Luddite desires.

I mean Good god man! Your sounding like one of those Fundamentalist Jonnys. That's not on. It is unwise to decry progress, else we'll take your computer away and give you 2 tin cans and a bit of string and then where will you be eh?

Looks like I'm just going to have to run some.......
Dangerously Fast, Spinning Sub-entity experiments. Wooo!

This is better than a quick reply! THIS IS SCIENCE!

I don't know what's going on in trunk, but in 1.72.2 player ships are still not frangible.

So, no, nothing can be shot off of your ship.

As for your second question: Why don't you just try out? Fly your ship and watch your energy banks. Can't be that difficult. :wink:

One of the crew was tweeting about Arculator earlier... is this a coincidence? :-)

Not that far away from my current rig actually.

But I was really just trying to cover my ignorance about trunk. 8)

When it's done. Not a second earlier.
