Trumbles, Oh Trumbles ! HELP please

They are lovely, but they breed like rabbits and eat my cargo and now they are all over the ship. I'm beginning to see them in my sleep.
How do I get rid of them ? Is there a nice way, i.e. in flow with the game ?
I don't want to edit any files if i dont have to.
Thanks in advance.

Fly very close to a sun. The trumbles don't like heat. But if you're not properly heat-shielded and/or allow the ships' temperature to climb too high, then you'll be toast too.

Yup, gotta cook 'em.
They go well with BBQ sauce and a light ale.

De-furred. Butchered to yield a nice tenderloin cut, season with pink ocean salt and ground zero-G black pepper. Put it in a pan with some Anarlquian chili's, and a tablespoon or two of Lavian Tree Grub oil (or other low-fat oil). Brown the 4 sides of the loin, and then place the whole in the oven at 350º until it reaches 165º internally.
In a separate pan, put some dehydrated Reidquatian Mangos (julienned), a can of guava juice, and some caradamon and allspice. Simmer till the juice is 1/3 the original volume. Spoon over the slices of the tenderloin and serve.

I don't know, but my Trumble doesn't breed. Well, I think I only had it for a short time. When did it start multiplying?

Welcome, CL.
Don't worry, they will breed!

Buy a cargo hold full of food and wait (ala "Gremlins")
Although some do not 'breed' Lestradae had one for ages and even had to resurrect it when it finally perished.

Not too close, sun baked Trumble requires finesse, get yourself at a reasonable distance and allow you temp to rise slowly. The art lies in keeping a high temperature for an extended period of time. It is as easy to cook a ship as it is to cook a trumble.
Right on Chef!

Have to agree here. At least you could've put on big
SPOILER WARNING signs.
There is a reason why the
advice in the FAQ (6th question) is much more cryptic...
