Oolite Bulletins

OK, I've finally created an account on the Elitewiki - DaddyHoggy deserves a presence I think (finally have a back-story for my alter-ego) - I notice that this seems to be based on "User:Captain Hesperus" as an example. So, my question is - what do I do? Is there a simple HowTo somewhere or can simple instructions be posted here to get me going?

Meh, it's not Wikipedia, so no stress. Just used the search box (on the left hand side) to search for User:DaddyHoggy then select edit this page. Voila!

Is there a good way to search the wiki - I would like to see how many other "user:xxxxxx" have been created - but the search just gives me a million billion hits on the key word "user"

I think if you follow the link on the left to special pages, then user list http://wiki.alioth.net/index.php/Special:Listusers then you get all the users. The ones in Red do not have user: pages, the ones in blue exist.

Cool. There's some interesting stuff tucked away on those special pages!
