Long Time Away...

Hi guys!
I've been away from Oolite for a VERY long time - over a year at least!
Anyway, I was browsing through the web yesterday and hit on this site again. I got the urge to install the test release on Windows, and have been having a blast!
The only OXP I installed was the Realistic Shipyard as it contained so many other vessels etc. thrown in (nice mod by the way).
However, as its been so long, and I've no doubt missed a lot of info amongst the hundreds of posts on this site, can anyone recommend any additional updates or mods they recommend?
I looked through the Wiki pages at the OXP's, but how do you tell the latest versions (sorry if its easily found, guess I missed it).
Also, with the shipyard mod, a couple of planets near Lave have shipyards floating near the stations. However, I've flown into them and nothing happens - do I need to initiate contact, or press something? (Again, sorry if I've missed this
).
As I say, I have a lot to 're-learn' but so far I'm having fun!
Cheers!

Welcome back! and G'day, I'm new here myself...
Which OXP's you install is very much a personal preference thing, but others have asked the same question, If you look through the Expansion Pack Board you'll see some recommendations to get you started. One I definitely recommend though, is Random Hits. Getting paid good money for bounty-hunting instead of the tiny bounties paid by GalCop is great.
My understanding of the OXP list in the Wiki is that they always link to the latest versions, or sometimes, if certain versions only work with certain releases, there will be several links on the page dedicated specifically to that OXP.
Happy Hunting!
Re Shipyards, I haven't tried that one yet, so I couldn't say... (note to self, download it!)

Thanks for the kind welcome guys!
@Diziet, I'll take a look at the Random Hits oxp, sounds good - but as a newbie player on Harmless I think my bounty hunting skills are a little way off yet.
I need some decent weapons
Cheers all!

Maybe take some practice at Lave Academy, or if you need some docking help talk to Traffic Control? Or just land on the planets instead?

Don't forget Sung's detailed textures and maybe some Griff's ships (all of this if you have a decent machine of course)
EDIT:
Hmm, yeah, I sound like an old timer, though I'm newcomer poster too

Or Simon B's "re-imagining" of the original Elite Classics.

Wow Thargoid!
You have a lot of OXP's there!
I'll definitely try some of those when I get home tonight.
