Deposed? G4

G'day Cmdrs,
Wee problem with mission in G4.
I've been sent after a Peldorian ship supposedly at Enanar. Got there and found a Tarantula. Never seen one before, black and transperant, either that or mirror like. Takes a lot to kill it.
No Mention that I killed it. On return to Esarqure for reward, still no mention or reward??
I've been back and forward and killed it at least 6 times.
Am I missing something here?
Isn't the tarantula the said Peldorian ship?
Haven't found any other unusual ships at Enanar or surounding worlds!
Any help here would be much appriciated.

If I remember correctly, it's several of them you have to shoot!

I know with the Widows there were 3, but they were around the area. I went to all the planets within one jump of Enanar, Nout, nada, nothing, also Zilch that I found!
Any idea of a direction from the first Tarantula at Enanar to the next would be great... N being top of map S being bottom ect.
Boogars are giving me the slip!

Thanks Screet, I thought there must be more of the boogars, Just can't find them.

Very strange. There is only ONE tarantula to be killed. When you kill it, it sets a variable that makes it impossible that a new ship is added.

Which deposed version you are using? In version 1.3.4 I added code to the Tarantula that on death of the ship even the mission destination on the galactic chart switches. And this part was tested to work.

I strongly have the feeling you have an other oxp installed that also contains a copy of this ship that spoils these missions. Looking at the deposed code it is impossible that a new ship is added when you once killed the one in deposed.

Well that might have something to do with it.

Version is 1.3.2

I downloaded 1.3.4
Haven't taken out .2 yet, still want to get the tarantulas..

Does that mean on loading the newer version I go back and fly again to start of the missions?

With 1.3.4 you probably can just continue were you were playing. I don't have that version but from the 1.3.3 documentation I read:
v.1.3.3 Released August 2008 by Commander McLane
- Fixed a bug that would not recognize the elimination of the tarantula or the drug factory.
And that explains your problem.

Sorry for the hijack, but where is the drug factory?
Killed the Taratula's but can't find the drug factory....

IIRC it was a bit away from the planet...after witchspace entry to that system, turning to the opposite site and proceeding there a little. I'm not sure if it did have a character on the advanced space compass.

Its a bit outside the normal space-lane. (Its an illegal factory that does not like to be found easy) But look around at the system entry point.

UPS and you shouldn't shoot him up, but scoop his escape pod and make sure he escapes for some extra money ;)

Not only that, but having rescued him at least twice, opens an Easteregg elsewhere in the game.
