Oolite Bulletins

A little question please.

I have downloaded Realistic Shipyards. In the instructions it says something like:

"by all means download [a] [c] as Realistic Shipyards requires these"

or something like that.

Anyway, will Realistic Shipyards run without having these additional OXPs or is there an absolute requirement to have them installed.

I'm not sure how big the consequences are if you don't install those oxps that RS depends upon!

Could be anywhere from having a flood of error messages in your log file (mostly harmless but annoying if you search for a bug via that) to crashing your game if it searches for something that isn't there (worst case scenario that shouldn't happen - but you never know).

So better add them in there is no really good reason not to, is there?

Well I tried it anyway...but sadly the load was too much for my poor old laptop and it all came to a halt.......

So...it's back to the bargain basement for me again....

You can always try the other OXPs on their own... To give you an example, my computer runs faster with 20 'normal' OXPs, than with just RS on its own.

To be fair, Lestradae must have rolled 50+ other OXPs into his baby...
