Hi,

all the time I did wonder why those battleships did not do anything in battle but fly around.

Now I found the reason: They got multiple weapons positions, but no weapons type entries!

Since I did try to contact that author because of some other oxp months ago and never got a reply, I guess he's not around anymore.

Is there anyone who fixes such things?

I also got a report about a wrong weapons position entry for SOME oxp - but Oolite did not log which file/oxp did cause the problem. It only said that it was used as a dictionary. Any ideas on how to track that down?

To my mind, (and this is not decrying the considerable effort on the part of the author). but that OXP needs some maniac TLC. I was never a fan of the ships and with designs getting more complex, it's textures could do with a fresh perspective and the models could do with some vertex subdivision.

Don't get me wrong. I like the idea. But that idea could be built on.

If you do...maybe also have a look at the escort info? It's 16 for that ship, which explains why I always ran into very similar looking clouds of pirates with that oxp in and RS/OSE disabled. I guess it's used as a fixed number and should better be a random number (if possible).

Consider it done.

The random amount of escorts, though, I think is not possible - as far as I know, the only thing that can be specified is the maximum amount of escorts, the game then chooses how many are "needed" in relation to the safety/danger of the system, or so it was explained to me.
