Where'd my shaders and planet textures go???

I messed around the other night with wireframe mode, and when I came back to normal mode, shaders don't work and planets have the old blotchy textures.
My log doesn't say anything about "shaders not available" or anything like that.
I unistalled and reinstalled V1.72.2 - no change.
I unistalled and updated my graphics driver - no change.
I've played around with all the setting in "game options" and nothing changes other than going in and out of wireframe mode.
I also have no nebula effects in the background.
Any idea what I did to break it or how to fix it?
Thanks!

Could it be that you try to run an OpenGL program on a windows machine equipped with an ATI graphics card?

Are any OXPs working (are you sure you're not in strict mode)?

Also:
Try holding down shift while starting Oolite to Recreate the cache..

It's not an ATI card, it's Nvidia. I updated to the latest driver last night at it didn't help.

I've tried holding down shift several times.
It must be something going on somewhere else in my system because it stayed that way even after uninstalling and reinstalling Oolite 1.72.2.

Hmmm. How about other OpenGL apps? Are they working? If you currently do not have any other, did you try the OpenGL stuff from GPU Caps Viewer?
Maybe it's something with the config, though...you've got Vista and oolite installed to it's default directory instead of C:\oolite?
If so, you most probably ran into virtual store trouble. Check for that file:
C:\Users\Screet\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Oolite\oolite.app\GNUstep\Defaults\.GNUstepDefaults
There's all the config stuff saved - including joystick config, view setup, commanders, ...
The problem with VirtualStore is that it does not get deleted when you uninstall oolite.
If you run Vista, you probably want to install to C:\oolite instead of the vista managed program files folder!
Furthermore, if you ever did edit any of your files, you most probably created a COPY of them in the virtual store, instead of changing the original in program files, another source of many troubles.
Hope that helps...

There have been problems before with activating/deactivating strict mode. I would suggest you file an
error report.
