Hyperdrive to a new world/galaxy help

When I get ready to leave the "LAVE" galaxy and explore a new one, what equipment do I need and what are the <KEY> commands to do it?

Hi Greenco
You'll need a Galactic Hyperdrive (expensive and use-once) and the keypress (after launch) is G. But make sure you really want to go, because you can't go backwards. The only way back to galaxy one is via galaxy eight.

When you Galactic Hyperspace you will arrive at about the same co-ordinates (in the new galaxy) as you departed from (in the old galaxy).
It is sometimes helpful to remember strategic locations on galactic charts to this end.
Some regions are not accessible in some galaxies, they are too remote from other stars in the galaxy, for example Xeonar is 7.2ly from its nearest neighbour, Belere, in galaxy7.
Since I wish to visit human colonials employed on Onteised (galaxy7) as returning officers in the forthcoming multi-party elections, I position myself appropriately in the preceding galaxy6 (e.g. Enriorar, Adien..) but Galactic Hyperdrive always brings me out beyond the desired portion of galaxy7!
Once there, a new Galactic Hyperdrive would be needed to depart; one is available - the cost would be acceptable - but a paternal GalCop thinks otherwise.
............................In the case of remote Oresrati (galaxy8) galactic hyperdrive would NOT be available. Tough............................!
Are there any solutions to this from the experience of other Commanders?

As for Oresrati, once you arrive there, it's game over. You can't leave without a script that would somehow award a Galactic Hyperdrive.

Perhaps I should note again publically on the board here that OSE, an oxp worked on atm, is going to change that by ... utilising ... Oresrati for something that is hinted at if you read Mutabilis.
