Only just come across these for the first time.
After a monumentous battle with the Thargoids I was scooping up the proceeds & saw a light blue golfstick on the display. Went to investigate & found this...

Couldn't scoop it, could shoot it or hit it & then it exploded.
Found 3 after that battle, but like I said never seen them before?

Any comments?

A light blue lollipop would imply that it's a missile or a bomb ... sounds like you've encountered some sinister new weapon from the bugs' arsenal. My advice: don't poke it, you'll only make it worse.

Too late, I hit it while trying to scoop it & it went bang

The other interesting thing, which is why I went to have a look at it, is it wouldn't let you jump drive. Whereas non powered things (asteroids, cargo cannisters, missiles, etc) don't jump lock you. Thought it might be worth something!!!

There is nothing wrong with it. (at least not much). It are particles spread around by munition from Missiles&Bombs. They should have exploded within a few seconds. But because they are defined as missiles they jump-lock you.

And very heroic of you to make the space lane save by scooping live ammo.

I didn't say I was clever...

Thanks Eric, it reminds me of the old adage....
"There are old pilots & bold pilots but no old & bold pilots...."
