I still own two fully working C64s - one the original brown wedge with a 1541 FLoppy drive the other is an Amiga-like redesign with an Excellerator+ floppy drive - sadly my MPS801 printer gave up the ghost (but I'd ran out of ink ribbons for it anyway)

It depends what you want to do with it. if you want to learn a bit of programming, go for the BBC. If you want to play retro games, then go for the Commodore. Or download an emulator. The Speccy – I had one – I'm not sure about: I don't know how the rubber keyboard would hold up after 25 years. The Amstrad, well... "if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all". :)

Just had to go for the Beeb, even though I loved the Speccy. On that machine, I learned CP/M. Anyone remember CP/M? (Don't answer that, Wackyman).

Also vote for the C64 - it practically changed the whole industry and brought the word "computer" to everyone's lips.
