Editing the wiki?

Is there a way that general folk (like me) can create a login to the wiki so we can edit it, or is this restricted to "approved" authors?
Unless I am blind (apologies in advance if this is the case - it's quite possible) I can't find the link to create a login from the login page http://wiki.alioth.net/index.php?title= ... :Userlogin
