Which way to Witchspace?

Post by Myrmidon »

Is there anyway in Oolite to jump into witchspace and fight the Thorgoids? I know there was something on the C64 version that would allow this.

IIRC on the original BBC ELITE it was CTRL-X that took you into witchspace with a load Thargoids to kill.

pull up during the last few seconds of the countdown
I shot him back first. That is to say, I read his mind and fired before he would have fired on me. No, sir, he wasn't a fugitive.

He could, of course, just read the oolite stories. It's in there! Couldn't stop reading...

...and I could not stop reading until I was through. I became pretty tired, went to bad, just to stand up again an hour later and continue reading!

Those stories are gripping, ayup.

I can also recommend Justice For Mrs Combs.

Hold it down, start looping at about 2 seconds. The on-board Hyperspace Compensators in modern starcraft can negate the minor ups and downs of piloting, but if the movement is rapid and extreme (loop-de-loop), that's when you'll end up dropping out of the Witchspace tunnel into the vast, Thargoid-haunted emptiness....

But really, which is scarier: A trumble salesman or a fleet of thargoids?

Neither!

Now, a fleet of Thargoid Scientolegists, THAT would be downright chilling!
