Profile picture upload form own pc.

Just tried to upload one of my pics for my avatar & i get message of denial with some other stuff there too, dont get enough time to read it & it's gone.
Do i have to change the file type or what?
The file is within the limitations, more likley i'm overlooking something.

There's some sort of file size limitation. Save it as a JPEG rather than PNG as these are much smaller. Might also need to reduce the size.

Displays a small graphic image below your details in posts. Only one image can be displayed at a time, its width can be no greater than 100 pixels, the height no greater than 100 pixels, and the file size no more than 47 KB.

I'm getting the same thing, actually. I assume I'm doing it correctly... browse to find the image, then 'submit'? Here's what I get:

Yeah my numbers at the end are 288, thats the exact same result i'm getting.
Would like my own pic on though, pixel size is less than 100x100, it's not even a 4KB size file never mind a 47KB one.

There have been problems with the uploading of avatars reported before.
Here.
But both of you
have an avatar displayed beneath your name, so it must have uploaded somehow.

No, those are the built-in avatars which they are using, not custom images.

Aha?!? There are built-in avatars? Didn't know that. I thought the default would be to just have no avatar (like most people from the memberlist).
EDIT: Indeed! I just never noticed the 'Show Gallery'-button.
And I always thought all you guys have uploaded the cut-out ships yourself. D:oh!

I spend some time cutting out and resizing a lot of the ships for this page. Most of them (if not all) should work as avatars.
