Just a small question: What has happened to the Oolite bb-logo in the upper left corner? And when? I am just now noticing it.

Looks fine on my PC.
Your pic looks like the screen depth has been changed to 8 bit colour (256 colours)...
Cheers,
Drew.

No, my monitor has millions of colours. But the gif itself, dragged and dropped on my desktop, is only 8-bit.
Like your avatar, by the way.
Unlike mine, which is 32-bit.

The logo (and Drew's avatar) all look fine to me, and I'm on a Mac...

Both the logo and Drew’s avatar are 8-bit. They’re single-image GIFs. :-)

Okay, but still: why do they look different on DH's and my screen? Note: In his screenshot I see it as I was used to. But still in my own Oolite-window it looks like I posted it.
I have already used Safari's reset-option. No difference. The Google-logo on their site looks strange now, too.
So, something's wrong with Safari? I even searched for a preference like "display all images as bad 8bits only", but didn't find any.
Or can my internet provider be to blame?
Still puzzled...

Although I can't say for sure, my years of computer related tech support experience tell me that this is something t do with your computer rather than something in the outside world... Have you any memory issues? Is your GFX card working OK?
maybe your computer settings are corrupt or your graphics driver has corrupted...

I might have but I can't remember.

If they aren't then it's the only thing about me that's not corrupt....

Just to let you all know:
Whatever the problem was, shutting down and restarting the 'puter solved it. Everything's back to normal.
(And I really could've earlier thought about that...

You sure you're not running windows?
Cheers,
Drew.
