I've noticed that in some replys to stuff that the original message was shown in an outlined box within the reply. I would like to know how that is done. Please.

Press the 'Quote' button in the top right of the entry you wish to 'Quote'.

Cheers,

:D :D :D :D :D

Well, yes, that is exactly what I am doing right now.

The alternative is: Mark the text you want to quote in your browser and c&p it in the typing window. Then you only have to mark it again and click the "Quote" button above the window, to let the start- and end-tags appear. The only thing that is left to do mandrolically then is the ="DaddyHoggy" bit.

This latter technique is extremely helpful if you want to quote different posts in the same answer.

It also helps that the whole discussion is shown in the "Topic review" beneath your typing window. So you only need to scroll down, copy, scroll up, paste, select, click "Quote", repeat...

Glad you typed all that up - I was hoping someone else would explain all that - now I can just quote it.

Cheers,

Drew.

Let me qualify my previous statement - I've always typed [ quote] and then C&p the text I was interested in and then typed [ /quote] I never realised that I could quote an entire message so easily - that's what surprised me. Semi-numbskull.

Especially that (and the faculty of the cosine of the square of the difference to your biological age). 8)
