Any secrets to share when in galaxy 2?
Found the Naval Energy Unit at Ramaan. Any other goodies to find/ buy/ missions to do?
Doing the usual Navy/ Thargoid/Pirate & Harken stuff.

There are no built in missions in G2 after the hunting mission, which I'm guessing led you there.
But the OXP mission Ionics takes place at Zaria there.

LB is right Ionics is a good starter, you need to make a lot of kills to complete it so it's good for the space cred.

Recexela (spelling) and Queedle (spelling?) are close to each other and offer a good location for sustained profitable trading. They're a rich industrial and poor agricultural pair. Occasionally there are Rock Hermit encounters available in either system.
If your ship has sufficient cargo space or passenger berthing, then cargo or passenger contracts are available. I use such contracts to see the galaxy when I become bored with steady profits. At present, I'm commanding a Python and saving up to purchase a Boa Class Cruiser, preferably with a Naval Energy Unit.
After the Constrictor mission, I've yet to be assigned any new missions. I've not installed any OXP's, but I've updated to version 1.72 for the PC.
Your mileage may vary.

Thanks for the trade options guys, now currently doing the ionics oxp, lots of ships to kill & free fuel/missiles too

I'm at Ramaan now...no Naval Energy Units here
Ok - forgive the dumb question, but do you have to complete a mission or reach a certain rank before N.E.U. can be bought?

Yes, you do. Her Majesty's Imperial Space Navy have certain standards...
When your kill count gets high enough, they may have another job for you.

On top of that Tivva was wrong in his opening question. The Naval Energy Unit is made available to you as a result of a mission in Galaxy 3 (not 2)!
So if you're still in Galaxy 2, you will have to make another intergalactic jump first.

Are you sure? The wiki says you just have to be out of Galaxy 1...

This is the condition for the initiation of thargoid wars (oxp mission pack) and not the build-in thargoid plans mission

No- you're looking in the wrong place.
Go to the Black Monks station at Ramaan- its available at a price....
Trust me, I bought it...
