Based on discussion in this thread, I'm pleased to be able to release Traffic Control OXP v1.00. It's a simple little script for new Jamesons plus more experienced commanders who suddenly find themselves without Docking Computers.

It introduces traffic control to the main station of each system. These fine people are ready and willing to help unsure commanders find their way to the correct approach lane and dock with the station. Just don't upset them by lingering in the lane ;)

Good add on. One question though. When I reach the safety zone do I have to keep the Buoy targeted. Because nothing is happening now. Or does it only work on 171.2 and not on 171.1 (which I use)

You don't target the buoy, you fly to it (approach it). When you get with 500m of it then you get your next instructions. You can target it if you want (although you'll then get Welcome Mat information too if you've got that installed), but it's proximity that's needed.

It should work with 1.71.1 scripting-wise, but I'm on 1.71.2 and don't know if there's any glitches that would stop it working. All features should be there though.

It is only working when you don't posses the docking computer. With DC you only get a messages when approaching the planet and one when launching. Help with the docking itself is only given for those without a DC.

Updated version for v1.72 compatability is available here.

At the moment it doesn't include docking clearance request. I'm going to go back and review that later once I have all the other OXPs updated for v1.72.
