I fly a SuperCobra with mil lasers mounted in all four directions. However, when I dock in a system with a sufficiently high tech level, I'm still offered the full range of laser weaponry (pulse, beam, mining, military).

Why is this? Is it possible to mount more than four lasers on a Cobra?

No, but you may wish to change them. The only change i can think that makes sense is to change one to a minig laser, but maybe there is a reason to change a mil. to something else.

Well in that case, I think that it would probably be more sensible if, instead of offering more lasers when I already have the full monty, the 4 laser options were replaced by a single "Unmount an installed laser" option. This would be in the same vein as the "Unmount all pylon-mounted weapons" option that ordinarily costs 30 credits in systems with a high-enough tech level.

Yeah, but only if it is worth the coding effort. I mean, how often do you even go shopping for equipment?
