Where can I find a single comprehensive list of all the improvements/changes made since 1.65 thru to the current version (1.71.2)? Does such a thing exist?

It depends on exactly what you want.

You can extract the history of changes from subversion, which will tell you all the changes, but might be at too detailed level for your needs.

I think Ahruman already prepared some release notes based upon the svn history, but Im not sure where they are.

For a higher level overview, Im not sure that there is a single good source for the information other than https://bb.oolite.space/viewtopic.php?t=4594

Sorry mate, can't fix what I can't test. I do not have access to joysticks to try to reproduce the problem. But I forwarded the information to our only developer with insight in the current joystick code. Hopefully we will have some news soon.
