I have just done a clean reinstall of vista on my dell
I now cannot get Oolite to run at all
I think I was using 1.70 before (it was a bit slow) now all i can find to download is 1.71 2 test. I have tried all different compatability settings but just get yellow bars on the intro screen where the text should be
anyone got any ideas
thanks

20 seconds for a hyperjump? Looks like you have way too many OXPs loaded.

on a side note, but related, Oolite runs fine here
Vista Ultimate, if i have Realistic Shipyards OXp installed it takes about 5-10 seconds pr hyperspace jump

I've cleared a load of OXPs which leaves about 12, is this to much
Can't get rid of RS oxp, wouldn't have a ship to fly in
Have to poke up with the delays
Thanks

RS is actually about 85 OXPs in one. So has the same slow down effect as having 85 in. The roles are also badly broken in the current version which will also cause slow-down as ships are being ordered by Lestrade to do things which they don't have the capacity to do. If you put in the individual ship OXP for the ship you are flying, then it'll be OK.

If you want to get rid of RS. Let me say that again, just in case anyone takes offense, IF you want to get rid of it, you can easily use the original oxp that your ship was taken from. Alternatively, if you really are in a fix, someone (me maybe) might be persuaded to make a custom oxp just with your ship in, if you tell us what it is.

It's OK I've found a swift oxp so I'll dump the lampyris and RS and try to find a new swift
Thanks

PS I may even restart at lave and build up again. It's more of a challenge
