I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills

Sorry for bombarding you with Mars, but I think this one has turned out really, really well and just wanted to share it.
I think this is the texture set I'll settle with. If I can, I will try to get an OXP out during the weekend, which will replace Tionisla with Mars in 8k. A 4k texture pack may also come out separately.

Looks great, apart from the issue with the hyper-lit night side. What happens if you invert the alpha channel of the diffuse map? Does this fix the problem>

I had that happen on my rig. Had to disable Povray planets to fix it.
