It seems to have a rather majestic sense of scale about it...

So looking forward to having time to play again!

Most games have some sort of paddling-pool-and-water-wings beginning to ease you in: Oolite takes the rather more Darwinian approach of heaving you straight into the ocean, often with a brick or two in your pockets for luck. ~ Disembodied

Yeah, ain't that the truth! All done without side-stepping the 'lanes or any other dodges - and with NPC Shields installed, plus an encounter with a Green Gecko (which Commander Jameson somehow managed to survive - he's a crafty fox)!

Got all turned around, lost my nav connection... Where am I now?

I wouldn't know, really. Have to say this: I use every one of your textures. The specular map - or whatever it does - in the diffuse textures alpha channel is layered on top of the recombined RGB, using whatever mode and opacity that produces a pleasing effect. But what is agreeable to me is, of course, purely subjective.

As I plugged this over in the Oolite Embassy at SSC today, I thought it deserved another mention here - the Oolite Image Repository!

I also gave this a plug, which may be of interest to some members - Giles' Oolite Models.

Combine this with "deluxe" counters from the 3D scanning and you've got yourself a distinct possibility.
