For this week's collection: Combat with a Python, a Cobra and a Mamba. They all share a common pattern in these shots. They are leaking fuel (courtesy of CSOTB's Custom Shields OXP) and they are on the run.

I've been playing with Custom Shields for ages but never saw those amazing fuel leaks...

Just a screenie of a Staer9 ship I'm currently looking into for the noshader extra ships (apart from making them compatible for Oolite v1.81)

Since I currently have nearly 14 million in the bank I thought I'd try an executive toy - an Andromeda.

By sheer chance the first system I found that had one for sale was a ringed planet, so I got some nice shots with that as background:

Lovely ship, but I think I'm going to stick with something a little more modest.

Very nice Artwork. Though I feel, it does not really look like a spaceship...
What is it built for? Trading? Fighting? Or just to look good and expensive?

At last! My damn beer cooler finally took a hit!

Those heavy assassins hit hard, but I managed to frag a few and evade the rest - only to run into a bunch of heavy pirates further in-system.
As I had no cargo with which to buy safe passage, they finished Mercurial Amethyst off mercilessly - thus saving me a massive repair bill!
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

With the beer cooler out of service you know... Fighting sober, the assasins might not be that hard at all. Maybe they will reduce in numbers if you stop seeing them double.

Mission nearly over. A little more to go and Boa: "Happy Day" has been rescued and escorted to safety.

Now that's interesting.. is the difference in terminators simply due to distance, or are those two terminator lines actually being rendered differently? I.E. does the line stay sharp or grow fuzzy as you fly over there?

(can't test this on my machine, extra planets cause my graphics chip to have epileptic fits)
Most games have some sort of paddling-pool-and-water-wings beginning to ease you in: Oolite takes the rather more Darwinian approach of heaving you straight into the ocean, often with a brick or two in your pockets for luck. ~ Disembodied
