As I mentioned before, I am a relative newbie to Oolite. I have looked over the table of OXPs. Are there any OXPs where I can hire escort ships when I go to dangerous areas? I did not see anything in the OXP table on the wiki.

As is often the case, I couldn`t do it, but wouldn`t that be a brilliant idea for an OXP for one of the code-wizards out there?

There is no separate that has it, but inside UPS-courier.oxp you can hire escorts from a certain point on. But first you have to earn the right to hire escorts.

I've toyed with the idea of offering escorts - either through the Navy or less reputable sources - but never put in the code work because they don't seem very useful. The problem is the escorts go sooooo sloooooow. You can't use your jump drive with an escort and it takes forever to get through the space lane. They would present all kinds of neat little options and subplots, however.

Eebings good people! I have a little problem, I just savaged two ships with my new DTT Kraken, I noticed instead of towing them they docked as escorts, I'd keep them as such but they are damaged with no pilots, plus I returned to the pirate cove to sell them and I can't? Not sure what to do now. Any advice would be much appreciated! Thank you in advance.
