Oolite Bulletins

I got a PM from Nick Supreme (newest member) and when I try to reply I get errormessages. Same as when I try to PM him.

Plenty of times, when I post a message or a PM, I get an error message about some debug mode thing, I can't remember the details. But the message is going anyway. I think this is why we have sometimes people double posting. They get an error message, then try to post again, but the original one has gone through already.

I know, but in this case, my sentbox remained empty, so I don't think the PMs came through...

It seems that the only side-effect is that the receiver of the PM does not receive an e-mail notification that there is a new PM for him to read in the forum.
But lately I have the same problem with the common posts in the forum. I receive that “debug thing” in my screen.

A PM will not appear in your sentbox until the recipient has logged on and the message transfers to his/her inbox. Until then it stays in your outbox.

So the reason why I have two PMs to Cmdr Wyvern in my outbox since November is that he hasn't logged in since! Which would also perfectly explain why I never got an answer...

got your messages, but still couldn't fix the problem.
Plus my AddOns folder ist blocked...

Quick question: Where have you installed Oolite, namely in which folder?

AddOns-folder blocked sounds like you are trying to run the game from a disk-image. This won't work! You have to install it on your computer first, meaning you have to move the "Oolite 1.xx"-folder from the disk-image to a place on your harddisk, preferably the "Applications"-folder.

It seems the PM issue is solved. I don't get the "debug" message anymore. Can anyone confirm?

I do continue to get error messages, but I think not the "debug" message anymore. So it seems to be resolved.

And I blame my suboptimal internet connection for the rest of it.

EDIT: Incidentally, the one I got when submitting this very message was:

Hmph. The mail server in question was supposed to be fixed yesterday.

Confirmed - I just got the dreaded DEBUG message whilst making a post.
The post was still accepted though - as usual.
