Some shipdata.plists contain "likeship bla bla" commands instead of shipdata - can someone please be so friendly

and explain or point me to a FAQ or Wiki where this is documented?

It saves typing, especially if you’re working on multiple variants of a ship whose final stats aren’t determined yet.

Please explain "like ship"
