It should appear at tech level 10+ shipyards - obviously the appearance of one isn't a certainty. You may have to wait a few days (game time) for the list of ships to update and then one may appear...

I'm currently flying an IC2. Great ship. I'd actually forgotten that I'd installed the oxp at first until a few days later when I got attacked by two of them at the same time and got my ass well and truly kicked. It was at that point that I knew i had to have one. It was probably several hours of gameplay later that I finally found one for sale, and I was actually flying to system after system specifically to find one.

Only downside to the player version of the ship is not having the multiple forward lasers :(

Looking forward to getting one of these one day. Haven't got the credits yet though.

Yes, it is an awesome ship! I won't trade it in again! :D

@ Selezen: So we've got another feline here on the board. Welcome! (But from which TV-Show of the 80's is this vision enhancement thingy? I think there are several candidates. Shall I start a poll?)

Heh... the visor on the cat looks like it's KITT's one.

Mind you, given that KITT's sensor is a direct copy of the one Glen Larson used for the Cylons, then technically it's both!

Very strange
I have just found 2 couriers for sale side by side, both standard models
the first cost 580k odd, 500ls, 100tons cargo
the other cost 750k odd, 350ls, 95 tons cargo, also had rotating wing thingies
Mine carries 100 tons, cant remember speed, think it was 500ls
Does this mean I have an IC2
Why is the one with the lesser spec 200k dearer
Any way I can check what I've got

Thanks

Next time you un-dock, look out port or starboard. If your nacelles are spinning then you are in the Mk. 2. Otherwise, you are in the uber Mk. 1 with the static nacelles, six missiles and suuuuuuuuuuuuuuppppppppppppppppppppppppppppeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr speed.

As for why the Mk. 1 is more expensive, the speed is IIRC greater than an Asp Mk II's (closer to one of Charlie's B.Inc ship speeds).

But the IC1 is cheaper by 200k
why pay extra for spinny wotsits, less speed and less cargo space

The IC 1 was way underpriced, since both versions have the maneouvrability of a fighter and the tonnage of a freighter. When Selezen redid the Courier (after figuring out quaternions!) he upped the price. If there is ever a means to price ships by what their capabilities are, I think you'd find the IC1 wearing a massively increased price tag.

I agree that the IC1 was vastly underpriced. Before I bought one I set its price to 835,000 Cr. Seemed fairer to me (although I gave it a military shield enhancement as well).
