Texturing planets

It demonstrates how to avoid the “pinching” look in planet textures. Unfortunately, this is a procedure that requires maths. :-)

My youngest daughter's studying maths in Berlin, finishing off her Master's degree , so I could email her with any problems, either her or one of her buddies would help.
