Oolite Bulletins

Since I was in a cave for almost one year (no interaction with oolite or the BB) I have spent the last 2 hours in the wiki searching for the new and updated oxps.

I could not believe how many new oxps were there (that’s the power and the beauty of oolite).

But that not the reason for my post. After some time I realize that two of the oxps are not in their newest version

1. oldships oxp ver 3.0 linked to oosat1 (the newest version in oosat 2 was 3.2)
2. deposted opx ver 1.1.1 linked to oosat1 (the newest version in oosat 2 was 1.2)

Since I was not definitely sure about this I started digging in the shadows of the original oostat2 and look what I have found (It’s still alive it’s still alive!!!!!!!!!!!!! – oh boy the nostalgia)

I don’t know if it possible for someone to update those oxps in the wiki (do I need an account to do it by myself)

Moreover I have found some missing ones

In case there is a specific reason with those 4 oxps are not in the wiki I want to apologize in advance for my ignorance (I did have the opportunity to read all the threads of the past year)

The "SIRF..." oxp under

doesn`t seem to be available any more.

And there was something said about a 15 MB (!) mission oxp? Where ist it? I want to have it!

Does anyone have this station or even mission oxp?

All the OXPs in the old Oosat2 are still available (or at least most of them).

The trick is that you can't just click on the download links. You have to c&p it into your browser's address-line and to manually replace "oosat" with "oldsat". Then it works.

I have also found that wolfmk2 oxp in the wiki is ver 3.01 (download from
oosat1), since I have ver 3.3 in my hard disk I am sure that you can find the newest version somewhere in the original oosat2 if you have the patience for all this renames (from oosat to oldsat)

I think (hope) I have found the all. All the download links are operational. I wrote this post as a reference in case someone wants to upgrade them in the wiki (or at least upgrade the link). If someone else have found something more concerning missing or downgraded oxps in the wiki it would be nice if he post the link here.

1.Murgh old ships ver 3.2 (This version has external views) The wiki version is 3.0

2.Ixian ship omnibus ver 1 (This version is a merge of the original Ixian ships with the ixian freighter) The wiki version is the original ixian ships without the ixian freighter. You can still download the freighter from oosat1 but there is no link in the wiki.

3.Wolf Mark 3 ver 3.3 (This version adds custom views and tweaks models and textures) The wiki version is 3.1

4.Python class cruiser ver 2 (an upgraded version without shaders) The wiki version (the one without shaders) is ver 1

Missing ones
The SIRF (This one is a white elephant, beautiful but useless. On the other hand since the author haven’t been around for a long time if someone feels that he can do something useful with this one would be nice. The facility is amazing but if you fly near it is a slow motion experience (3-10 fps)
