Commanders carry on the good work

Post by Ark »

Hi guys. I’ve been playing oolite for some time now but this is the first time I put a post in the BB.
I just want you to know how impressed I am for the work the developers have done in the past few months (especially Aruman). When I was informed about Giles I was under the impression that they will be no new versions of this great game and I have lost interest on oolite. Last week I thought to check the BB to see what is happening and I was stunned. There is a new development lead by Aruman and numerous new (test for the time being) versions. I didn’t have the opportunity to check the latest test version (1.70) but I am planning to do so. I have also seen that the oxp creators did not lose their interest (and their time) and I have found a lot of totally new oxps, and upgraded versions of old ones in the wiki. Commanders carry on the good work :D :D :D .
Since English is not my native language I want to apologize in advance for any mistakes I have done.

Hi Ark

Welcome to the BB. :)

Don't worry about your English. They are quite good at understanding us foreigners here.

Hi, Ark!
Thank you for the kind comments, it's always encouraging for our trusty devs to get positive feedback.
And don't worry about English not being your native language, even the native speakers here are often guilty of mispelling and bad grammar, innit.

Here you don't have to fear any Grammar Nazis, either.

In this board they don't carry bludgeons nor reprimands but schoolbooks and the Wikipedia, and are just eager to help, correct and enlighten!
This is, after all - I proudly proclaim it(1) -

THE FRIENDLIEST BOARD
______THIS SIDE OF RIEDQUAT

(1) any rumours of us executing foreign diplomats are outrageous exagerations to be disregarded.
Thank you!

P.S.: Anyone up to make an ad from this?
You know those who, having been mugged and stabbed, fired, dog run over, house burned down, wife eloped with best friend, daughters becoming prostitutes and their countries invaded - still say that "all is well"?
I'm obviously not one of them.
