Oolite Reference Sheet

As a quick reference this is so good although no longer entirely accurate, it should be the very first download for new Ooliteers.
It hasn't been updated since June 05, so there are a few additons that could be made, however it is still a goldmine of information and answers so many FAQ's, that it should be standard equipment for every Jameson out there.
It's available on Oosat
here
Perhaps someone could bring it up to date, or at least add a link to the Wiki.

The Oolite Reference Sheet has been updated to reflect current game status. It is available from
http://wiki.alioth.net/images/d/df/OoliteRS_rev1.8.zip. Any feedback is welcome, there might be still some details to iron out, but generally it should be correct (I hope). Once we are sure that it is OK, it can be inserted in the game package.

Well, it says:
Narcotics: ~ 114.8 Cr
... which can't be correct.

Eric has re-calculated the commodity price averages. He will surely provide the correct value.

A quick look gave me some differences with my own updated sheet.
Under additional keys is missing:
i Show info on the short range Galaxtic map
Under additional keys is removed:
! Output galaxtic map. It isn't there anymore since the introduction of the Advanced Navigational Array
Somehow the screenshot key kan do with additional info that you can hide the console by pressing o while in pause mode. And you can restore the console while pressing n while in pause mode.
There are more keys but they are only interesting for debugging, this one is a very nice one for making good screenshots.
As mentioned here and elsewhere: Narcotics 114.2 is wrong. Narcotics is the only commodity that suffers from an overflow in its calculation. (This is probably intentional). But it result in that it does not follow any rule for economy and is very random because of this. The average probably lies a bit below the half of zero and the absolute maximum of 102.4 (= 1024/10) e.g 45.0
All other values are within the area to be expected when recalculating the values with the commodity.plist. I would leave them as they were always presented.
There is still equipment missing in the list:
Hardhead missile 9 350
Enhanced head shielding 4 1500

A new version containing Eric's recommendations has been uploaded. Same link as before. Hopefully there won't be too many things to sort out this time.

Maybe a hint that this key-table is referring to US-keycode(?) would make sense. New players don't know it and will be confused if a key is not working on their computer.

A few things that could be included: Common other symbols on the ASC
I think fuel is 2cr/ly
And also the +/- to cycle through locked targets.

Reference Sheet updated again and available at the link at top. Added the -/+ keys, note for non-US keyboard layouts and fuel price. The standard symbols are all presented in the compass legend, so I don't think any more will be added.

This is to keep a neophyte commander from getting a whiplash if he/she enters the docking bay at an odd angle?

@ a_c: Just wanted to update the link on the FAQ-page, and see that you've already done it. Thanks!

This is useful - wish it was here when I started Oolite - perhaps it should be distributed w/the game?

It will be distributed with the next version of Oolite.
