Bug in YOUR AD HERE v3?

I have Your Ad Here v3 installed (all packs), and Oolite v1.65

In Galaxy 1, when I travel to Zainlabi, as soon as I enter the system, I immediately die by colliding with a big ad. Its happened 3 times for me now, even after a game exit, restart.

Can someone else confirm please?

I had a similar problem with a thargon carrier (or whatever the huge ones are called). I think it's a case of you arrive then as it spins round it hits you.

Hmmm, the only thing I see right after death, is a HUGE ad spinning slowly right next to me.. ad used as a witchpoint beacon?

Usually when I arrive in a system, I'm at least some distance away from the W beacon, but seems not in that system.

Think its just bad luck that you keep hitting it at this system. Where you appear relative to the witchspace becon is random, but (i think) generated by Oolite's random seed. This gets re-rolled when you make a H-jump, so if you go somewhere else first save and then go back there, hopefully the dice will have been re-rolled and you won't be so fataly close to the ad boad.

The question remains however, why would any sane Commander go to Zainlabi?

they must have seriously good pr people to spin those occurences under the public radar. they can afford it, what with the advertisments they are selling and all. i just might have to visit and see for myself.

Please do, I'd like to see if someone else has the same problem in that system.

Yes, I *did* notice the ad, kinda of hard not to... trouble was, I was too close! :) Too close to read it.

heading that way now, i'll let you know what happens.

***edit***

well, i made it over there. the sign did seem a bit large, but i had no trouble warping in, nor did any ships i see collide with it while i was there. ^^ very odd.
