Ships with turrets?

Which ships available to the player have turrets?
Can you add turrets to any ship or just a few types?
I haven't seen turrets for sale as an upgrade. Is there an OXP I need?

Alas, no player ship can have turrets. Several OXPers have tried adding them, but there has been little success.

That's a bit of a pity but it doesn't detract from the game too much.
